Have you ever laid down on your couch and had an out of body experience? OBEx? You are up walking around and looking at people in the room but yet your body is still on the couch. Then all of a sudden your body can't breathe and you try to tell some one to wake you up. They are looking right at you but ignoring you. Finally you make it back into your body and with a great effort, wake up. Has anyone ever done that?

My great Aunt Rose Hanna Putland was buried At. St. Peters in the 1850s 60s. She was burned to death in a house fire. For various reasons I thought her tragic death may have been associated with the "Screaming Tunnel" although I believe that tunnel may have been built after her death (Not Sure). In any case I came across the information on the Blue Ghost Tunnel and am as equally intrigued.

I viewed your site and went to see the BGT on Oct 30/05 with my daughter . It is bricked up but has a steel door similar to a jail cell door, so at least we could see inside of it...htanks for the interesting info on all your investigations, we'll be back..R.

I had learned about this intriguing tunnel only November 2004 and was able to visit it twice at that time. The pictures taken at the cliff edge of the hill depicted many small white orbs whetted our appetite for more. My boyfriend and I returned once during the winter of 2005, taking a few pics. When we had them developed, we discovered an amazing thing---there was definitely a white shape in the picture. To the many people I have showed this to, say they see the shape of a horse with its head down and its hind quarters reared upward. We had returned more times throughout the summer but had nothing show on our digital pics. It saddens me that this tunnel is now being sealed off and it's a shame that such a history piece will no longer be available to those truly interested in its' Paranormal activities.

There was once a photo on the internet somewhere that showed a couple of creepy *** in a car that was parked in a driveway. They were not there when the guy took the picture. I think it was a picture of his kid. Id like to see that again if this sounds familiar to anyone. Also there was one that showed a ORB in a doorway but the weird thing about it was that it was huge and half was visible and the other half was behind the door! Absolutely fabulous.

Oh ***! What a wonderful site you have. Im a paranormal investigator too and am checking into theHamilton Hermitage very soon with my friend Sol. I personally do not beleive there is anything there and the show Creepy Canada did not do this area any favours. P.S. The screaming tunnel is now private property. So we no longer have that. THey are doing construction on the highway to widen it. Why are all the places that mark most of the paranormal activity in Niagara closing. At least we have Devil's Hole right across the border.

Im damned upset that they are closing the BGT. I visited the BGT in the dead of winter and it was incredible. The ice cacks are amazing and the atmosphere is electrifying. What a shame this beautiful area is being iced!!

Hey everybody,was at the tunnel on Sunday,October 9,2005 before they closed it in.Lots of people during the day, quads ,dirt bikes, a 4x4.Then just my brother and I were left when it got dark.This was our first time there and didnt know what to expect.We never saw a thing while we there taking pictures, it was after we got home and downloaded onto comp.Truly shocked at what we ended up with, as for the wierd orange tracers in 2 photos, I dont know? I think its just an optical illusion, cheap camera ,bright spotlight, but they look strange anyways. The orb pics in the tunnel are truly amazing.Well worth the 1 1/2 hour drive to get there and Im very greatfull that we got the chance to experience this place.I hope you enjoy the pics as much as I do.Feel free to email me, as I posted on the site if you want to see the master photos, 2080 x 1368. I have the most awesome photos of the paranormal.Theirs places in hamilton that are loaded with spirits.The people that go on ghost HUNTSduring the day are wasting their time.The witches hour is primetime.I stuck a camera in a broken window at A CERTAIN LOCATION.I asked my spiritual ancesters to guide me and give me a sign and the images I captured are EVIL fgures, images with horns on their heads.Half human half demons pics stuff that is unbelievable.I have the proof to make sceptics and ignorant none believers cringe.When my printers fixed ill gladly send em in. Please get your information correct.
The tunnel is not completely sealed yet.
On October 2nd, a culvert was put in the ditch and a foundation for the blocks was layed, and 2 blocks were placed.
On October 3rd, they built it up about 1/3rd of the way, leaving room for a maintence door. You guys can check out pictures on my site at this link;

I went back to the BGT last night
10-03-05 the tunnel is started to be blocked upthere is so far only about two rows of cinder blocks at the entrance. I took some pictures bu tit was far too foggy.
If interested you still may have about two or three more days of investigating
If you decide to investigate the tunnel before it is completely sealed up please e-mail me I'ld love to investigate with someone who has been through an investigation before, and do this right i was there also on Saturday and i got some very interesting stuff, if anyone wantsa to see the pics e-mail me.
If anyone can confirm my pics as anything but explainable also i welcome the e-mail. From the three visits i have a collection of interesting pics. Some orbs, Some misty, ??????? I want to see the tunnel once more before the last blocks go in. Anyone interested call

Well the tunnel is no more. It is now sealed forever. What good is it to have a historic site if you can't ever see it. They might as well demolish it. And by sealing the tunnel is not going to stop the partying their. What can we do!!

Hello I am not sure if you are aware about the newspaper article in the St.Catharines Standard about the Blue Ghost Tunnel but when i went to go read it on Friday, September 30/ 2005 there was the Blue Ghost Tunnel on the front page and the article below it said that the city was going to be closing up the entrance to it with cement blocks. The reason they gave was ever since the television show Creepy Canada had made a segment about the tunnel it has been made an attraction to many people and that it was a place for partying but what they don't relize is that the Blue Ghost Tunnel was an attraction to partiers and for people who were interested in doing investigations on it way before the show Creepy Canada had ever made a segment on it. So why are they making a big deal about it now I mean no one has ever been hurt there when and if they party there or investigate there. wow!Very interesting,I only went to the tnnel once but I could not go inside.I got such a feeling of leave go away.It was around 4 in the afternoon.My 2 friends went in while I waited up on the hill,I was so scared.I truelly feel that those energies do want to be left alone,hopefully someone stronge enough will be able to help them go to the white light.Your site is very impressive.

Blue Ghost Tunnel is to be Sealed up for Eternity
St. Catharines Standard reported a story on BGT and stated that the Seway authority is going to seal the Tunnel "Out of Concern for Public Safety"
(yeah right just cause an exec decided to see whats up and was scared shitless)
Now it is to be sealed away never to be visited again.

St larance seaway is going to close off the BLue Ghost Tunnel!!! This is very dissapointing. They have deemed the tunnel unsafe and don't want a law suit. AS Paranormal investigators we all are aware of the risks involved. A simple soulution would be to just post a sign disclaiming responsability for anyone getting hurt on their property. This is my groups favourite spot to investigate and we would all be very upset if they built a brick wall to close off the tunnel. Friday's Standard ffront page has a big story on this issue.

Great site, keep up the good work. I love how you get into the history of the area you explore/investigate, and how you adventure to a lot of places not too many people have heard of. I am from the area-and have visited the BGT many times over the past 15 years. Long before it became so 'commercialized' bythe Creepy Canada Episode.
It is located in the south end of St. Catharines-bordering the city of Thorold. If you take the QEW Niagara, take Glendale Exit and follow to the lights. (you will see Niagara College kitty corner to you)Turn right onto Glendale and follow until you see a side road marked with a sign "Gate 12" (this is the General Motors plant entrance)-take this road and it bends sharply. follow this as far as you can go. once you've reached the train bridge-you're pretty much there! You have to walk to rest of the way in. Just follow all of the litter that inconsiderate Tunnel-goers have left-and you can't miss it.
Enjoy! But please be respectful and leave nothing that you bring!

I visited the tunnel today with my friend and all my kids. It was still light out, We saw what looked like a flash light on the walls and ceiling when we left the tunnel, heard footsteps but saw nothing like the photos i've seen on your site. If you are in the area to see the tunnels again, Keep me in mind I would really like to see evidence of the paranormal, I've been looking for it for a long time.

Tonight we visited the Century Manor. According to your information there is to be no hydro to the building. We were standing in front of the manor looking at it and when we walked to our right where the staircase is at the end of the building there was a green light on above the outside of the doorway. As we approached the light it was very dim. Upon getting closer the light flickered and became brighter. It did this 2 times. We seen lights in several rooms of the manor. Some were very dim others were bright. At the back of the manor we thought we could see a shadow of someone looking out at us from one of the upper windows. It was an erie feeling.

Hello i have a question for you i have been to both tunnels fairly alot and when i go to the screaming tunnel the streetlight goes out everytime i walk by it now i went one night with a couple of friends and it kept turning on and off while me and one of my friends walked down there well we went back but it stayed on the whole time i just went back there recently and it kept turning off and on again i was just wondering if that has ever happened when u have visited the Screaming tunnel??

Thank you so much for posting the proper address to the Ancaster Pet Cemetery. My beloved cat, Sasha, passed away yesterday and I wanted to see where she was going to be placed. As I now know, the address listed on the www.inform.city.hamilton.on.ca site is WAY off base.
I was searching the internet this morning for the location of the cemetery and remembered (not until I got home, of course) that your site listed a different address so I re-checked your site, sure enough, I saw the picture of the APC landscaping and remembered that I passed it twice and didn't make the connection! I am such a bonehead!

Hi there,
Hey if you look at the 3rd picture you have an Orb in it to the left of the picture. Last night my friend Vicky and I, she lives here in St. Catharines. We were there on 2 different occasions and we have pics of Orbs in them from inside the Tunnel and last night n=just ouside the the Tunnel. I wasn't sure if you knew this but on the other side of the QEW on the other part of Warner Rd is an old cemetary we took some pics there too if you'd like I can e-mail them to you.
