On our way out to the Screaming Tunnel recently we noticed a very old sailing ship by Jordan Harbor, on the lake side of the QEW.... This old time ship got our attention and we just had to go and investigate. But at the time we couldn't, because we were on our way to the screaming tunnel. And on the way back we couldn't do a proper job of it because it had started to rain. So we returned this past weekend. Once we parked the car and went down to see this historical ship we were in awe...... We noticed that the ship at one time must have had tours of some kind. There seems to be a dock built onto the side of the ship with stairs leading up into it. But for one reason or another, these tours have been halted. Now the ship just sits in the harbor for all to see....from a distance.  To see the full size image, click on the picture above. At about 8:25 pm we took this picture of the ship. Please note the second set of doors down from the front of the ship are empty.  To see the full size image, click on the picture above. This picture was taken just a few seconds later. Now there seems to be 3 people in front of the doors. Please understand that the position this picture was taken from had not changed.  To see the full size image, click on the picture above. This picture was taken to show the back portion of the ship. This was a hard picture to get. We had to scramble over the rocks on the jetty to get it....*S* 
To see the full size image, click on the picture above. Another angle for the back view of the ship. There was a platform beside the lower deck of the ship where folks could board it. If you'll notice there is part of an old sign that gave a phone number. Possibly for tours?? 
To see the full size image, click on the picture above. As dusk fell, I returned to shore and clicked off another pic. The ship gives you the shivers when you see it in the semi darkness.

When you see it sitting here, lifeless, it makes you wonder how many times it was out to sea before it came to rest here. What a glorious picture it would have made in full sail.
